It’s been forever since I’ve taken some time to write down my thoughts or read anyone else’s. The first blog post I saw when I opened the reader was from @TRNeff.Wordpress.com and I smiled.

We worked together some years back. Two creatives trying to make a living doing nothing we wanted to do. We had some good laughs as we complained about the job – not the work, we liked the work – but we were underappreciated and waaaay underpaid. We were much happier talking about our respective artistic pursuits to pass the time as we “toiled”, LOL, than doing the actual mundane work that brought the paycheck, insufficient as it was.

I have since retired and am now “doing my thang” – painting any day I want for as long as I want, anytime I want.  I see she is writing regularly, if not religiously, and I have a lot of catching up to do. I follow others as well and plan to set aside some time to see what everyone is up to. I do have a new painting on the easel, but I will make the time to sit back and take a journey to revisit old friends.
