About HCArts

From Meager Beginnings to Artistic Endeavors

Handy Concepts began its journey in 1994 as a humble sole proprietorship. Over the years, it evolved into a Limited Liability Company (LLC) and made a significant mark with the establishment of a brick-and-mortar art gallery in Red Lion, PA, which operated from 2009 to 2013.

During its time, the Gallery became a vibrant hub for artistic expression, showcasing the works of 35 talented local and regional artists. One of the standout events introduced by the Gallery was “Date Night at the Gallery,” which quickly became a popular attraction, drawing art enthusiasts and couples alike.

Despite the Gallery’s success in fostering creativity and community engagement, the economic climate during that period was not conducive to sustaining the sales of fine art. This financial strain led to the regrettable closure of the Gallery’s doors on January 1, 2014.

A New Chapter in San Antonio

Following the closure of the Gallery, Cheryl Handy, the owner and artist, shifted her focus to producing her own art. Relocating to San Antonio, TX, she continues to collaborate with other artists to organize exhibits and maintain a presence in the vibrant pulse of the art scene. Cheryl remains dedicated to helping fellow artists achieve their full potential, ensuring that the spirit of Handy Concepts lives on through her artistic endeavors and community support.

Handy Concepts’ journey illustrates the resilience and passion of those committed to the arts, demonstrating that even in the face of adversity, the flame of creativity and collaboration continues to burn brightly.
